This made me very sad when I learned about it today watching a newscast on break at work. I had to go look it up on the web to see more about it, because I was so surprised and saddened. Probably my favorite DJ ever; such a nice, calm voice and gentle sense of humor.

George Carlin died. That's really too bad. Now there was a comedian who changed the way comedy was performed and received.

Former President Ford died. Well, at least now when the flags are at half-mast, it'll be for a good reason. I hate how Bush makes people fly the flag at half-mast for stupid reasons. It should only be for national tragedies or for the deaths of Presidents. Just my opinion, of course, but whatever.

Okay, I'll preface this with saying that the guy got on my nerves with his over-the-top enthusiasm and complete disregard for safety and all... but HOLY SHIT.

One of my dad's best friends, Jerry Huntley, died a week or so ago. We just found out because my grandmother saw the obituary. Jerry was the best man at my mom and dad's wedding, and I think he's the whole reason my mom and dad started dating in the first place ( Read more... )
